Why are there so many hentai games?

I'm on steam for video games. Every time I browse through explore, junk hentai games keep popping up. "Tetris hentai" "Hentai shooter" "Hentai Match 3".

This is just as bad as the shovelware that was getting dumped on here, that got sorta stopped with the upped price to put a game on steam.

There aren't. Just because it says "hentai" does not mean it contains it. Many are censored as well.

Pretty much everything can get here now.

I had 8 shovelware jigsaw games in my discovery q in a raw, by same developer.

Meanwhile, one of those 40 crapy games is a good indie game that got covered with all the garbage. And obviously nobody even saw it.

Its still trying to sell itself not on and gameplay, but scantily clad drawn girls. What is this ♥♥♥♥ filling up the explore section?

They are just slapping the name hentai or hot girls, then dumping 20+ version of the same game. I thought steam was working to get rid of that crap.

And the problem is...? Many Ecchi games (Since that's what most are) are pretty entertaining. Many are bad "sex sells" trash but yeah. Don't pile everything in the same pile. I personally like the idea of anime girls in my games anyway so yeah. Like every other genres, there's lot of trash.

You can always disable seeing stuff like that by adding it to the "Do not Search" engine they have going on. The tags I included are: Anime and VR because I don't have a VR headset and I don't want to see sort of naughty tags of anime chicks on my front screen when I sign into Steam.

Problem is that I enjoy JRPGs, which usually have the tag anime.

Dang, I tried using the tag blocker and "Hentai", "Ecchi" are not popping up, sorry OP but I think you'll just have to skim through that mess until they put tags on those type of games. Good Luck.
(If I find another way to sort through that sort of thing, I'll try to post on here.)

Sex moves a lot of money and Valve has a good amount of users that use or are ready to use these materials. Nothing more to say. This is how capitalism works. If I were in Valve's shoes, I would do the same.

There is a easy answer why there pop-up a lot of games with hentai in its title.
Someone will see it, Post about it in the community and gives the devs of those games a free advertising with that.

I like to spend time going through explore until there are none left for the day. Then I move on to greenlight. I'm at 23,659 viewed for now.
