That doesn't address the issue.
Again, that doesn't address the issue that these games exist in the first place and are being pumped in to the platform.
Did you even read my post?
And of course I would complain about the food at the local market if I believed there was a reason to complain about it, albeit this is a dumb comparison that you're trying to make.
The problem is not hentai games. We now see a lot more shovelware games that can be made in 2 hours.
1- they not games. If you want to compare them to food, they are like poop infested with parasites.
2- they cost nothing to make
3- i doubt that those devs own the art
4- they not always hentai so the filter would not remove them
5- they outnumber proper indie games 4 to 1 or worse, so those devs make less money and frankly steam will make less money too
Of course they buy them.
I said in my original post that they are "easy and profitable", as in cheap to produce and easy to sell.
I made that comparison to the "Elsa Spiderman" videos on youtube, because they are easy to make, and garner a lot of money from kids watching those videos one after the other.
And of course they are profitable, which is why they are made.
That doesn't mean that it's a good thing for the platform.
That's why I'm here trying to bring light on the issue.
I really don't know what you're still doing here, as you don't contribute anything to the discussion, instead you're just stating what's already been said.
Sure, you're free to stay and comment, but please do make it worthwhile.

So Please. If you're browsing new, just admit you are. DOn't say you're loioking where you're not. And no I actually don't have any filters against that sort of content.
Now that said. I don't quite see what the issue is. It's a trend, and apparently since people haven't heard of DeviantArt or e621 there's apparently a parket for anime nudie galleries.
Actually I was talking about it for about 10 years
Steam Direct made it easy to spam shovelware, which is relatively recent.
Good games might take a year or more to make.
We get 10+ shovelware games a day
Put your hand in a bag with 3000 tokens and pull 1 that is golden. Now imagine if you are a good indie game that is treated the same way as any shovelware game. Average gamer does not see it.
I'm looking at a few other DEVs I think will get the hammer soon but I won't name names.

I am not browsing anything.
New and trending.
In the front page.
Just because it doesn't show up for you the same, it doesn't mean that I'm lying and have something to "admit".
Their philosophy is that EVERYTHING is allowed on the Steam Store
as long as its not against the law or blatant trolling.
Apart from that they will not curate what is released here. That was their final stance on the matter and they are sticking by it.
As is obvious as since 2 weeks ago uncensored porn games are now allowed to be sold on Steam.
But they are filtered out by default and you need to activate a option in your account settings to make them appear in the store.
Which is a good solution, further updates to the filtering system are planned for the near future and as long as every user can filter out the stuff he is not interested in, i dont see any problem.
I like trashy games more than anyone here, but unlike you I understand where the game ends and scam begins.
I had 8 of those games in my discovery Q without owning any of similar games.
Go count how many of my 970 games are 3 by 3 jigsaw.
You want me to block hundreds of developers that make new accounts? Please, I would rather Steam limit how many games a trashy publisher can spam in 1 month.
Steam Direct actually made it a little harder. Before you had aone-time fee of $100 and you can spam as many games through greenlight as you wanted. Direct puts $100 per title. So in the old system 5 tiles cost you $100 , current system will cost you $500.
Good games might take a year or more to make? I have yet to see a good game that took a year to make. A decent game typically spends 3 years in development at minimum. Sure it can be less if you're reusing assets and mechanics. I mean the only reason Scot was able to fire off FNAF sequels so quickly was really because very little changed between games. The mechanics all stayed the same.
10+ Shovelware games a day. Well never mind sthat some people might actually enjoy those games for the low price they're sold at....but even so. That's not a new thing. That's been a thing ever since the days of atari.
Funny thing about good games. You don't really need to search for them. The best games will always bubble through the media eventually. You don't have to relentlessly scour the new releases.
This hentai trend will die out quickly enough anyway. Sooner or later people will remember, oh right the internet is a thing now.
