2 hour drop limit (steam trading cards)
Hi everyone, so I have 3 steam accounts. 2 of them (including this one) I have spent more than 100 euros on them. the third i have spent less than 50 euro. On the first 2 accounts, my cards start to drop as soon as 30 minutes playtime have been achieved. while the 3rd account needs 2 hours before cards start to drop. Sometimes even just running the game and quitting with less than 5 mins playtime will cause a card to drop. However this has been pretty consisent for the last few years. 3rd account will never drop cards early until 2 hour limit is passed, even on games acquired for free

Is there any reasoning to this? Much appreciated for replies.

Recently, card drops have occurred rather quickly - even less than 5 - 20 minutes.

I have no idea why this is so and what exactly affects it.

I guess it has something to do with your total spend.

yeah this is really weird. but then i can buy a game right now on steam, get pretty much all the cards within the refund window, then refund the game. maybe they trust more valuable accounts?

Devs can set the drop times. Refund a bit and they won't drop as fast.

Did you had a refund within a year or so on the third account?
Do you on the other two?

Do the refund thing carries on overtime or is it just temporary?

From what I understand, the refund limitation does expire after a set amount of time.
