rock paper shotgun needs to go

each game's news feed in the steam library contains: the game's updates, news from the developer, and [regretably] third party news.
obviously, i dont want the news feed section gone. i LOVE to hear updates from the devs, about new features or DLC theyve released, or about how theyre doing their best and working towards goals... but DEAR GOD when i see "rock paper shotgun" spouting off with some opinionated, subjective, whiny (and almost always unfounded) negative [or even positive] review of the games IN MY LIBRARY, it really bothers me. there are other publications that like to take a crap on unsuspecting games, but "rock paper shotgun" is passive aggressive, devoid of any quotes or stats in their articles, and very likely written or edited by the type of person that, as a kid, ran their mouth too much- irritated everyone around them- and then shouted "bullies!" when no one wanted to hang out.
but i digress.
all i would like to see [and i have submitted support tickets to steam about this already] would be an option to block individual publications in the news feeds. theyre not all bad- PCgamer, EUROGAMER, even KOTAKU- kudos to you people for being mostly objective, and at the very least not whiny.
i suspect a reason for steam not already making the move to allow blocking of publications might have something to do with deals or contracts with the publication companies [perhaps some sort of "ad revenue" type thing, where steam gets paid per article, because the publications get clicks from steam- to their pages, where they have their own ads]. if this ISN'T the case, and steam is just being "an open forum to friends of gaming", by letting gaming news companies post just anything, please STRONGLY consider allowing users to customize their news feeds.
