if you activate a key for the same game on the same account you wont get a second copy registered on it.
The only way is either to created a second Steam Account to register the key on it.........or not trying to play the game at the same time on one account.
I use my account on a seconde computer for my child. He does not have any email account or another steam account.
On day, more than one family member might want to play a video game at the same time. At this stage, the "one account for all" falls apart.
In the short run, your friends won't be able to know whether it's you playing, or someone else. If you use your account, and everyone else uses their account, that's solved as well.
Same applies to save files (on games that have Steam cloud), achievements etc. No mixups.
I have a second account for my son (8/yo), where all my unused keys end up.
It is best to have two, incase he decides to cheat or such latter on. That way it won't effect your account as well.
