Games worth investing all your time in?
I swap games a lot because most of them are the same with different elements, a few I used to play daily, Pod racer/Gauntlet (N64), Halo 2 Multiplayer, Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield 3, World of warcraft - back in the lich king days, I like MMOs, Building games and shooters mostly. Sadly there isnt a game that has everything. What games are out there that you or people you know sink all of their hours into?

I would say Monster Hunter World, but it’s not yet out for PC...
I have 250h in so far, and tons of people on their reddit have far more. Addicting as hell.

Ive never actually played it, Im looking for a game that really has everything, which I think wont be out for another 20 years, but I remember a friend telling me that MHW was really good.

For some reason, Stardew Valley got me hooked. I spent 80 hours before I knew it, and I'm not even done with half the game.

And it keeps getting better and better. They are releasing Lunastra today. I can’t wait to fight it.

You should try some MMOs. Tera and Black Desert is on Steam, so you could look into those. Tera is free even, don't remember if Black Desert is free or not though. Black Desert is the newest one, and have way better graphics, but Tera is quite nice and easy.

I put 200 straight hours into Factorio when I got it. It's like $30 or so.
Warframe is f2p and can suck up a lot of hours

You say you like building games? You should try Cities: Skylines

No game is worth investing all your time into.

That said, WoW is still highly addictive and a new expansion is coming out in August. Mythic+ dungeons introduced in the current expansion offer a nice endgame alternative/addition to raiding. Path of Exile offers endless grinding also that I put 2k hours into until I burnt out on it. Borderlands 2 gave me nearly a thousand hours of coop fun, though that wasn't with random people.

But I really think it's better to pick up something like guitar playing, programming, etc and get addicted to that. Or, if it has to be video gaming, play a lot of different "finishable" games that don't consume all your time.
