Yes, Sequels of games change, I'm a massive fan of Final Fantasy until they changed away from turn based combat, doesn't give me a right to start stamping my feet over at square enix, That's even more of a drastic change that you wheren't happy about. The game isn't catered to your personal wants. If you don't like the direction the game is going the dev was pretty much saying you can get a refund if you want to. Which is the correct answer to your response if he isn't going to change his game to what you want. Can't please everyone. You aren't entitled to decide everything about a game because you bought 2 other games.
Also saying the dev doesn't take critque about his game there is plenty of threads where he listens to people are doing exactly that. The way you did it was wrong and you know it. Also steam gives moderation rights to the devs for their own game for a reason.
