Throwaway account forum bombing

I'm really tired of the endless parades of throwaway accounts spamming game forums with trash, negativity and harassment.

Can't you just not let users post until they spend say $5 on games?

Cut down on the endless parade of disposable acounts destroying the game forums.

When it gets to the point where it is a problem then like review bombing something will be done.
But it is nice of them to raise their heads once in a while, that way we or who ever can act on it.

Apparently not limited enough if they can post at all, and be part of a chain of disposable accounts that cause havoc and conflict.

There's no reason that someone who has never bought a game on steam needs to be able to post. Heck even games liek Wow limit the chat abilities of free accounts to avoid abuse.

Limited accounts can only post in the main Steam forums and that of Free to Play games the user has on the account.

Can't get more restricted then that.

If they are posting in regular game hubs, then they have spent $5 on the account.

They could require the $5 spend, but I doubt that'll happen. Alternately if $1000 spend was required then people might think twice before breaking the rules. Hmm...

Ya. My mind was going towards "What more could realistically be restricted" at that point and I couldn't think of anyway that wouldn't be pushing too far on restrictions of limited accounts.

Also, game developers can restrict their game forum (or parts of it if they want) to people who own the game.

Ask the devekoper to do this.
