I've been watching the thread for awhile, and this quote here tells me your full of ♥♥♥♥ - you're clogging the thread with inane semantics - and what's worse, you clearly don't even have first-hand knowledge of the games in question, apparently.
Not really a factor, to be honest.
If an automated system was just put in place, then it wouldn't account for the age of a game, just the number of reports since it was started.
For most, 1 image ban = 1 day ban works fine.
We have made suggestions and have a whole thread of them, but that is as much as we can do.
I have only experianced a few of that level, so it isn't common, but you also have thousands of accounts uploading similar images too, it becomes rather hard to keep up for any system.
Then again, it also depends on the reasons behind it, something we can only guess at. It is best, though, to remember we are only making guesses at it and not stating facts. That I think, is one of the larger issues in these discussions.
My knowledge is from screenshots user post and what is said in the game's forums.
Take that how you will.
The semantics however, are true.
Clearly though, you have not kept up or you would have read my stance on the overall issue the thread is in reguards to.
This.
There you have one game that is less explicit than Witcher.
HuniePop I'd argue is less explicit as well, might look worse at a glance but that's it.
Apparently nobody is able to get any clarification from Valve on this either, all the talking is being done by the Developers. At the very least the people doing the purge need to say something beyond a vague form letter. After all, they say they're being targeted for "pornographic content", but obviously several of these developers submitted their games under the assumption that the guidelines were, in fact, being followed. If they weren't, then the guidelines need clarification.
HuniePotDev hasn't gotten a respond yet lol.
You'd bloody think they'd talk with the developers in question at the very least.
Not with the uncensored patch in place and that may be the issue.
I'm looking forword to hearing the response, but Valve time and all.
I do wish they would be better at communication.
I have been, and I understand you claim to be playing devils advocate - but you are quick to sweep posts into past pages that have relevant information regarding the group responsible for the takedowns - or the fact the group is spreading misinformation about the content and context of said games.
Honestly, on one hand I see it as reasonable debate, on the other hand I see it as filler, distracting away from the real issue.
Kindred Spirits has no patch, it uncensored on Steam right now.
HuniePop, ye, it has a patch, removes panties, adds some liquids, so I could understand that one.
In the grand scheme of things, I'd still call Witcher 3 worse than HuniePop tbh.
HuniePop has nothing but a few images, where as Witcher 3 has fullblown scenes.
So like I said above, yes, the images are more explicit in HuniePop, but it doesn't boast fully animated scenes.
Kindred Spirits: You're exploring love, and sexuality.
For 25+ hours of constant reading, with the "sex scenes" being at most 5 minutes each.
A few show boobs, some don't. You don't see, or read anything super explicit during any of these scenes, they are cute little scenes for the characters to show affection.
I really do fail to see what makes Witcher any different.
What is shown is what makes the difference. I've seen the scense in the Witcher 3 and compared to the screenshots I have seen of Honiepop, I can see a difference.
But that aspect is more of a difference of out personal opinions though.
2: They are pulling a Google here, broad rules where they reserve themselves the right to ban games for any reason without actually saying it.
3: GTA4: Strippers, Paid lap dances, tits. Massive double standards.
Not really.
Lap dance vs. explicit sexual content.
There are different levels that can be considered acceptable or not.
