Transfer games saves between profiles

My wife has been using my profile to play and I finally signed her up for her own account so we could both be playing on steam at the same time. Is there any way to transfer game saves between profiles so she doesn't lose her progress? I'm hoping there's a general way for all games, but specifically looking to transfer her saves for Don't Starve, Plants vs Zombies, and The Sims 3

Games are tied to accounts and are not transferable.

Ask in the forums for said games if it is possible to copy over the save files and where they are located.

In normal cases savefiles are just some more or less raw information-containers that can be easily pushed anywhere they are needed. Some game saves are even cross-plattform compatible (both launcher to launcher and consoles to PC).

However there ARE exceptions where the savegame itself holds information about WHAT profile is the owner but I only encountered such game once so far. The games you named should be fine though. At least for Sims I am 100% sure that it should work.

By finding where the saves are located and moving them onto her computer. There is no general way of doing it.

Some saves (depending on the game) are tied to the account and can't be moved to another account.

When sharing your games, please have the other person create and use their own account. This way they can be played through Family Share and it keeps the accounts separate.

look at google should give u the answer
there are several common location used for save-folder, such windows:documents folder\my games and in steam-installation folder

for dont starve : ~\Steam\userdata\{your ID}\{219740}\remote\
for Sims3 : \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves
for plant vs zombie, you can google up for the location i guess
