I don't see what they have for gamers other than exclusives which aren't good for gamers.
Competition is good, Exclusives aren't.
I don't know about you, but I'm satisfied with Steam as is. Epic is actually way worse from my point of view.
Personally, I have had no issues with Steam, and out of Steam, Origin, and GOG, I am perfectly satisfied the most by Steam, although I do love GOG for their Anti-DRM storefront, and have had several issues with Origin.
Epic just doesn't put forth the effort into making a better product.
Companies also understand boycotts and lackluster sales. See EA's Battlefront 2 as an example of Outrage that ended positively. If enough people disapprove or don't use Epic's service, then Epic will be forced to improve it, thus leading to real competition and them having an actual GOOD launcher. They need to be reminded that customers matter, a lesson that other stores, most notably GOG, are already fully aware of.
I have nothing wrong with Valve, Steam is great for me as well as GOG is. I prefer the DRM free system of GOG but I prefer the library of games that Steam have and I know most of those games wouldn't be on PC if they had to be DRM free so I take the best of Steam+GOG and it is perfect that way for me.
Also paying to keep games outside of other stores is the OPPOSITE of competition as well as extremely anti consumer.
I'm not the biggest fan of competition but I have nothing against it either.
Anything anti consumer is disgusting and this is what I have against Epic games. But don't forget that they also are against competition, what they do is exactly the opposite so you don't even know what you are talking about.
Decent sales in the feuture on top of what companies would offer on that?
Debunked.
It's some sort of character trait, if you ask me.
They will complain and moan about every trivial detail imaginable until their dying breath. And they always scream the loudest.
Don't even begin to cater to those folk. You'll end up hospitalized.
Epic running "exclusives" is a "monopoly" on said exclusives while being backed by currency manipulating Chinese communist party backed company "Tencent", and is anti-consumer.
Big difference.
For starters most of steam hasnt passed/aired any judgement but hey if you can show us all a vote/pole carried out on all steam members we are listening.
Secondly unless your telepathic as lets face it your post shows your too lazy of character to have approached steam members whom you label as HATERS, how do you have the faintest clue of the depth of peoples individual DISLIKE.
Thirdly Epic isnt the first real competition. EA 1982, Ubisoft 1986, Blizzard 1991 (Vivendi Games 1996,Activision 1979)
So because Valve came up with the original concept of the steam platform before the others you and epic get to think youve been done wrong, that your NOT COPYING someone elses idea essentially.
Epic games has been around since 1991 so stop already as its simple, they arrived late to the platform party and are peddling a FAKE narrative.
As for dissatisfaction, what dissatisfaction, are you saying you a gamer is getting games offered at far to high a price for your pocket or are you a sad pathetic developer whose hiding behind being a gamer trying to sow seeds into non developer gamers.
Come on fess up, whats your real personal stake in this, how are you effected without dragging other people into it ?
