Is there a way to get Doom II without buying it on Steam?

I've read some reviews and apparently the version of Doom II on Steam is pretty bad. Is there any other way to get it, like an official website or something?
I'm not looking to pirate it in any way, I want to get the official version.

Because it is both games, Doom II and Final Doom. Both of them on Steam are $4.99 which is 1 penny less on Steam if you buy both.

Hard pressed for money, wait for it to go on Sale on GoG.

They're are the same if I'm not mistaken, on Steam they added DLL file, which interact with Steam, but doesn't do anything to the game that will cause any problems that I know.

There doom 2 + final doom if that what you want. But it's the same as on Steam regardless.

Or you can get the Doom 3 BFG, which comes with doom 1 & 2 with dlc for doom 3.


I have doom 3 BFG and have zeroes issues for doing mods, and etc.

I own this game on Steam and even played it when it just got out ('back in the day').. Dunno where you got the idea that the Steam version is bad, but it's plain out nonsense. The Steam version works just as fine as the old version did.

You can buy it in Microsoft Store if you have Xbox, lol
