Steam Library drop down menu problem
After the latest Steam update, the Steam Client Library drop down menu seem to be bugged, when I hover my mouse over the "Library" text on Steam, it doesn't show the category drop down menu like when you hover Store, Community and your steam profile name.

Here is what the drop down menu looks like

Its really annoying when you want to access your games and use the "installed" category filter when you have over 800 games and you just want to see the installed games. Is anyone having similar problem? Thanks!

Moving the cursor off and then back usually pops the menu open if it didn't open the first time.

Its not working, no matter how many times I move my cursor off and back, a friend of mine said he's having the same problem.

Same issue. 4k monitor?
Restarting the Steam client fixes it, but it's only a matter of time before the drop down is missing again.

Issue still persisting. Was hoping it would be included in a round of bug fixes like the Ignore bug.

Yup! Should be fixed in the non-beta now...

Cool thanks for the heads up, back out of beta for a bit to check out the changes.

The bug is still not fixed with the new update, it disappears again after I click on other menus or drop downs.

  • Fix Steam client drop down menus temporarily freezing client and showing at incorrect location when client is partially offscreen

this is no the same bugfix for the bug I mentioned.

same problem here, I had updated all driver include OS, still not fixed this error.
but I would find some weird logs on CONSOLE when I restart steam every time.

Blocking global navigation to: data:text/html,%3Cbody%3E%3C%2Fbody%3E
CAPIJobRequestUserStats - Server response failed 2

What's that meaning?? Internet error from STEAM Server?? or Is my link blocking by STEAM??

BTW, My game totals over 1000. but I tried login another account with only one GAME, still have same error.

Found the exact issue. After clicking the category link to the right of the library's search box, the the main menu's 'Library' submenu is unavailable. Exiting the Steam client and restarting restores functionality.

The Steam beta client was updated today - it has resolved the issue. You can either switch to beta or wait a few days and it should reach the stable branch.

Interesting. Can duplicate here. Usually I just select Recent or Installed from the Library drop down and never use that category. Yay Steam. :steamfacepalm:
