If the thing holding the code doesn't need to look fancy (like for a gift) then maybe try paysafecard instead. When I buy them at the tobacco store it's just a receipt with the code so it's more environment friendly than the laminated cardboard Steam cards.

Canada, some stores i havent steam cards yet i had seen more of Xbox or nintendo.

I see them in Canada all over the place.

Even Metro grocery stores have them, usually in their rack of gift cards near the tellers. It's crazy they have gift cards for just about anything there. Not a big fan of Metro, but it's pretty convenient.
Hm i guess in my local area it seems to either stopped selling them or sold out.

Which country are you in? Here in germany i still see them in stores. Maybe it has something to do with their anonymized nature?

My Walmart, Circle K and EB Games still has them.
I know stores here in Australia still sell Steam cards. I mostly get mine from JB Hi-Fi. But occasionally they’re also available in supermarkets such as Coles and Woolworths.
i have this problem too, im from Canada as well. i spoke to the lady at Shoppers Drug Mart one of their registered vendors and the lady told me it was due to people doing telephone scams like the ones we hear about where crooks trick elderly to buy amazon cards or some rubbish. according to steam they are still available in those shops (7-11,Wal-mart,Shoppers) but every where they say the same thing "removed from shelf due to scamming" so it would be nice to get a clear answer or at least some information on how to be able to purchase these normally again

Have you tired your local Walmart, Circle K and EB Games. I'm still able to buy iTunes cards and those have been used scams. I saw the latest is the Google Play cards. Your Shoppers may have just made that decision for themselves. Do they sale the other 2 cards I mentioned. If they do, then it's something else. I honestly hadn't heard of Steam cards being used for the card scams.

I'm almost certain I've even seen them at co-op during my visits, but i could be mistaken.
Just ask the stores why they don't have them in stock and/or when they plan to get them in stock.

FYI, if you're looking to gift Steam wallet cards, you can also do this through Steam.
