Why would I have to imagine a situation I have been in before?
Why would I react exactly like how you've said I would? Seems to me that your problem is; you think that your own method of "doing things." is the best way, don't worry - it's common. Most people are like that.
Good day and - good luck getting in touch with whoever or whatnot. I'm out.
I cannot see any reason for you to contact me, so I would have no reason to accept an invite. I also will not accept an invite from anyone I do not know.
If you wanted to ask me a question, you can post it on the forum. someone else may know the answer or be better able to assist you.
Also considering you can contact non-friends in Steam through chat if you want to. They'll get a warning about receiving a PM from a non-friend and then have the option to let it through.
In the end there's no urgency to add someone as a friend, it's nonsense. Even trading can be done while you're not friends so... yah.
(edit)
As for me.. I'm also strict with adding friends and I more than often base my decision on the games which we have in common and how much they're played. In the end this is a gaming platform afterall.
You people don't understand and are going offtopic.
i'll be unsubscribing off this discussion as i cannot delete it. cheers.
