Index Room Setup

Hey, in lack of a better fitting sub forum i am posting this here. I wanted to ask how i best setup my room for using the valve index. Right now, I have a windows mixed reality headset that needs a screen as focus point. does the index need that too? Because right now i have to basically shift my entire furniture to get a screen in front of my play area.

Long question short, how is the index calibrated and what does it need?

You don't need a screen to focus on per se but you are asked to point at it during set up just for orientation. It just uses the standard standard SteamVR set up procedure (used for the Index, Vive and Vive Pro) which you can google if you want to see a video about how it's done.
