Ready to buy a new rig. What's a good laptop or desktop to use with Index? Any recommendations?

I'm considering on upgrading my HTC Vive to a Valve Index headset, since I already upgraded the controllers, and just wondered if the improvements from the Index HMD is enough to justify the £460 to replace it.

Hello, so I've started up my index today and it has been having this issue of when i pass over a base station the pov snaps just for a sec back to the base, I've restarted the headset, base stations. i also unplug one of the base station and tried tracking on one to see if it was the fault of the stations, but it is happening on both. I've also have updated my drivers, and tried Room setup to see if that was the issue, it was not. it does not seem to be a FPS issue, bc when loading a game, the game isn't f...

I bought my Index yesterday from second hand. After following the setup guide I got stuck with error 108 and the headset LEDs are blue. I tried everything I could think of. Trying diferent USB and DisplayPort on my MoBo and GPU, restarting the app, steam and PC didn't help either. I instaled new drivers for my GPU that also didn't help. The cable itself doesn't look damaged in any way. Anyone can help? Edit: I got a new cable and it works now....

I am interested in 'spacial computing' as something I've recently become aware of with the vision pro, the meta quest 3 is also capable of spacial computing. I saw footage where someone had replaced their monitors with a meta quest 3 to give them a curved triple monitor set up. I'd prefer to buy the Index however if it is capable of such a thing, anyone doing/done this? Success/failure? Thanks....
