Games with good gun customization?
Hello all, currently I am looking for a very particular type of game. The game that I would be looking for involves very detailed weapon crafting. For example I would like to be able to customize the barrel, choose grips, types of ammo, types of barrels, different trigger sets, scopes, etc. And be able to use them in combat. While at the same time having a decent combat mechanic (how the game plays).

The reason I am asking for a recomadtion of a game that does this, is because I saw some gameplay of the game "Escape from Tarkov", which shows extensive weapon customization. But it is a little pricey right now. Any suggestions?

Well, the best candidates are the one you said "pricey" mate.

Division did some but it is not really that deep.
Payday 2. Has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of DLC's though.

Payday 2

You can get the base game and a ton of the DLC for really cheap when it's on sale (which is always)

Dead Space 3 had a nice gun constructor. The game was worse than DS2, but still fun at coop.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 and up all have that much customisation.

MGSV isn't really customizing, it's more about unlocking different versions of a gun.

Payday 2.
Although the gun modding is deep, it also doesn't make any sense too. (You can slap a 9mm silencer onto a Desert Eagle and still functions correctly.)

Did you actually play the game? If yes, have you captured the gunsmith?

Yes I've finished it and have most of the weapons.

The difference is like buying a set of rims to put on your car vs. buying another car that has those rims on it.

In MGSV it's not like you have a gun and a silencer and you put the two together. You go down a tech tree and buy specific upgrades from a menu linearly. It's an upgrade system, not a customizing system.
Upcoming Escape from Tarkov probably going to have best and most realistic gun customization ever. I dont think there are games like that now.

You unlock guns via tech tree, yes, but once you've got a gunsmith you get to customise your weapons using the parts of guns you've unlocked.

I stand corrected. I never knew that existed. It's locked behind sideops that I never completed.
