knowing their sales tactics is the 1st thing to wrap your head around.
Seriously, I've seen other online retailers who refuse a refund even if you've played 0 hours. I've previously bought from one which advertised a 30 day "no questions asked" return policy and then flat out refused to accept a game 2 days after the purchase was made with no reason given, at all, and just closed my ticket when I pointed to their own return policy.
You really want to do this? Whatever, man. Good luck trying to convince other online retailers to make exceptions to their return policies.
Vaguely .. .. and I'm sure they want it that way..
Provided you meet the 2 hour rule.
I also seem to remember them talking about a 'case by case basis'
Which obviously does not apply with the 2 hour rule you/valve are throwing around.
Lord Gaben watches us all and plays on our emotions.
It does apply, but many of the people complaining about the not getting a refund despite that "case by case basis" clause have gone way too far over the limit. If you're just slightly past the limit, you have a decent chance.
1 day later? I hardly think that should be an issue..
But then again.. this is Valve we are talking about here.
