Skyrim Black Screen After Entering Buildings and Caves
So I don't know how on earth this happened. Yesterday I was playing Skyrim and I enter Cragslane Cave and after the loading screen ran for about thirty seconds I was in the area but everything was black. I could see my crosshair, my compass, enter and exit my menu and inventory, and hear everything around me. I tried leaving the cave-everything was fine. I went back inside the cave...still black screen. I decided to just get out my frustrations and terrorize the poor civilians of Windhelm by breaking and entering into their homes, stealing their goods, and then murder them. Well I decided to step inside I think it was the Viola's house for my first victim. After thirty seconds of loading screen, I got a black screen again and I can see my compass and crosshair still. I got curious and tried go inside to the Palace of Kings to see what all areas were affected...nothing was wrong. I can see Ulfric sitting on his throne blabbering about Balgurf and taking over Whiterun...no missing interior pieces.

So I exit of Skyrim and verified game cache, only one file didn't validate like normal...I don't have any mods that would alter the appearance of caves and I tried googling to find anything close to this problem, but I couldn't find anyting. I appericate any help you guys can give me!

Just did....found nothing so far. Ran TES5Edit, googled my problem again, both got me no where so far. Trying to verify the game cache again, restart my laptop, and go to sleep since it's 3:30 in the bloody morning and who knows maybe sleep might help me figure this out as well xD. Knowing my luck it's probably something I overlooked and the answer was in front of me the whole time

I fixed it. I reinstalled Skyrim this morning and finally got a chance to test and see if it worked. Went inside Viola's house again...everything is back to normal. Yay!

Usually, you don't have to reinstall games like that for issues like this. First try to verify the game cache. It is faster and pretty much the same as reinistalling the game, unless there are issues elsewhere of course.

EDIT..I can see you said you did this before in the OP, so not sure why you had to reinstall it.

Yeah I'm not sure either. Usually if I had some sort of game problem I would just verify the game cache and bam! problem fixed. I'm just going to ignore how weird it is and celebrate Skyrim is working fine again.
