Is it okay to alt-f4 all the time?
So i am supposed to make reports and study all the time, but sometimes i get a chance to do that on pc, so while no one is around, i open some games and play but when i hear footsteps it would take ages to exit the game normally, so without hesitating, i alt+f4, will this affect my pc or games?

They're fine. Alt-f4 is more or less the same as clicking exit on the menu. They inoke the same process.

No they don't. Alt+F4 is closing the window and thus the application immediately. Unless it has a shutdown hoo to termiante gracefuly that means loss of data and the possibility to corrupt data.

That's just it. Alt-F4 just calls the applications shutdown procedure. It's part of the default windows application.
However, not all applications support this. Some developers either disable alt-f4 or have it simply lkink to the normal shut down procedure. Not all, but some do. Alt-F4 is an application level shortcut command. Just as Ctrl-F4, and Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.

It's not lke the Kill process from CAD which is an OS level.

Everything u say is right but there is a program that allows u to press alt-f4 even if the developers don't want u to

Isn't it much better to either finish it all beforehand or be honest to both yourself and your parents?

Well that's a third party application. But also keep in mind. What it does even if triggered is still up to developers. You can override the OS defaults with custom functions. Don't know if you're old enough to remember Wordperfect, but that's a perfect example. Also an example of why you want to stick with the conventions.
