to my knowledge there is no way to track armorgames, aeria games, kongregate, or just plain standalone SK players.

Anyway, why you even care about this?
The trick is that number of players month before BS update was similiar to one of now; During Energy update a lot of players played again because no elevator cost, but fastly reduced to state before.
Analising this is pretty pointless, because number of playing players is almost same all time, if there's no big update occuring. A lot of players are playing seasonally, but events aren't anything very big to that.
