Game crashes (FIXED)

I start the game and it stays at the login screen for a few seconds then crashes with no message.

I've tried :

-Re-installing
-Re-installing on different drives
-Validating Steam files (says I have 2 files missing and will be reacquired, help please?)

Up to now, nothing I've tried works.

EDIT : Went to library, right-clicked on Spiral Knights, properties, disabled Steam overlay. Thanks to : Mtax.

Turn off steam overlay.

Steam > Library > Spiral Knights > Rightclick > Properties

oh god i have had that problem today... didnt find a single fix... i own you a cookie... even though i shouldnt have commented to such an old post , i had to...

steam overlay doesn't do anything
my problem is that sk doesn't start

dude, like he said, right click the game in the library menu (SKnights in this case) select properties, and you should see steam overlay somewhere, turn that crap off

Even after turning steam overlay off, It keeps crashing. The thing is, it's not randomly, but in a certain place (That Auction House place in Haven), and everytime I do something in it (Find a party, enter the auction menu), the game decides to close. SK is now pretty much unplayable in my PC because everytime I enter the game it tries to put me in a non-existant party and stops responding.
(BTW I'm sorry for posting on an old discussion.)
