Steam accout transfer question

Hi everyone. Want to transfer my accont to steam but have some questions. During transfer will my "non steam" account replace the "steam" one or they just connect to each other? And what about achievements. will they also be moved to my "steam" account?

Im suggesting making second steam account and second non-steam account and merging those two to check it.

I thought it just "connects" accounts, not created a totally new steam account if you already have one, but I used steam to begin with so idk

I think the original Steam account gets overwritten.
What i know for sure is, that you get instantly all the achievments you already have in SK.

Wait you mean just the spiral knights account, right? So if you don't have a Knight on steam yet, you won't lose anything?

Oh and, the thread says if you have one knight on steam already, transferring one more over wont override it right?

almost positive it's only for the spiralknights.com web client.

Nothing against kongregate, but I wish they never had spiral knights, it just invites a lot of lazy casuals who complain about how the game takes a long time and beg for free gear.

Do as i said - second steam acc, second kongregade acc, then merge 'em and check how it goes.

What I do know is that when you integrate your stand-alone account to steam, that stand-alone account won't be there anymore - replaced by steam account - and all your stuff will be transferred. So you would have to log on to spiral knights with your steam account only from then on.
