Guys I need help downloading.

What version code does it say in your getdown.txt file located in common/Spiral Knight/ folder?

why do you need to know? the game will update itself automatically.

the game starts by installing from steam at version of 2014. Then it autoupdates using the Spiral Knights Launcher to version of year 2020. But for me it never managed to download all the files it gets stuck at downloading intro-bundle.jar file at 77% and then says it failed after 5 attempts to download. So I want to try to edit the getdown.txt file by changing to a newer version. To, I would suspect, 2023 and let the Launcher try download the latest files instead of the 2020 ones.

you are going way off the road here.
downloading failing is a known issue and the first step is to restart steam then try again.

downloading failing is a known issue and the first step is to restart steam then try again.

I doubt it. You can try downloading the files directly through a browser by pasting something like this in:

http://gamemedia2.spiralknights.com/spiral/20201019172329/rsrc/intro-bundle.jar

And it will get stuck downloading at 77% and never finish. Its not steam related.

then try restarting your whole computer?
it may sound dumb, but it is easy and worth a shot.

Yeah I managed to fix this issue from my old thread again. But the point is this issues it not supposed to exist in the first place. It would be good to see this ant sized issue resolved by Grey Havens.
