Do you still believe in the world and mankind?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/528230/SYNTHETIK_Legion_Rising/
But in terms of gameplay I'm really enjoying it~ The world and art direction I'm a fan of too. Did bring back Spiral Knights memories for me for sure.
Wakfu: this is not like spiral knights, its a tactical turn based RPG, i played it and i dont like tactical RPGs but i played it because its fun with friends form party with them and its fun! because thats where the game strong point its, but at this point i cannot say its casual like spiral knights because its heavy grind now and thats thanks for the rune system update, i dont want to go into details but basically to have a good equipment to do more content your equipment need to have at least 3 runes slot and those are RNG you can get in your first roll or in your 20 rolls all into your luck. thing its.... in order to have another try to roll slots you need to use the same item, grade, level and rarity. which is the problem... if wakfu equipment dropped a lot like other MMORPG i would agree this isnt a problem, but once you start reaching lvl 170 its annoying because battles take 30 minutes or more and most of time you dont drop a single gear... so yeah you will stuck for hours. so i dont recommend wakfu unless you have friends to play with or dont mind mindless grinding for hours.
tree of savior: this was recommended by a friend i meet in spiral knights and that she was excited to play it (was 2016), saw the trailers and found it have isometric style, beautiful graphics and awesome music. and even i bought founders pack to have earilier access.... i dont really recommend this one not even today (where somehow they fixed some of the game flaws but that also created problems and worst) gameplay its fun because classes offer a wide variety of skills to attack your enemy, but sadly game dont offer much besides that, you have to quest from lvl 1 to 480 and basically you dont need to worry about equipment beause you upgrade the one you get from start until it endgame upgrade at lvl 500, at some point you will notice your class choices arent working and you will need to go META to do raids and get mats to upgrade your final gear (raids arent that amazing just a sponge boss with wipe mechanics thats it) and once you do that.... well find a reason to play the game. i strongly cannot recommend it, if you want to try it its free you dont lose nothing and you can do everything without paying. yes you can play with friends but doing quests with them its more a problem that going faster (except 460 lvl quests) so.... yeah
Stein: not like spiral knight at all, but by the time i played it, have an easy system from skills, items, and leveling, it have that style of the nes RPGs, truth to be told i didnt played it a lot, because i reached the lvl cap by that time, spent time leveling jobs to craft my new gear (which didnt took too much) but never found people to do dungeon. probably its another story if you play it with friends. it have got some more updates since the last time i played it but havent bothered to play it again. (also had to created another account just to use it as mule because inventory its limited)
Adventure quest 3d: this the last one i have played lately, unlike wakfu, tree of savior, stein, maplestory, dofus. this one its pretty casual, gameplay its basic but if you understand how your class skills works then you can take maximum advantage of it, equipment its just about to get the best stats, the new upgrade system basically aims to help you to raise the stat you want, but anyways you cant get lost of "what i should use" since you only need stuff that give you the best stats, story its not something to take it seriously it just a funny story, pvp well it have the classic duel between players and a team base PVP where you can play without worry of your equipment or your level since the team PVP set everyone on the same. it have a lot of cosmetics and armors so you can pretty much customize your characters to your liking. premium its only to buy those cosmetics, or unlocking classes, you can unlock freely class by doing their daily quests and it 5 or 7 days you can get it without spend a little, only class you cant get for free is guardian. this one its good if you want something casual because isnt heavy grinding.
its a wall of text but if you wanted an honest opinion well here is.
Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim
Ys Oath in Felghana
Ys Origin
this game just came out. i havent tried it yet but it seems to have a similar camera function that everyone seems to like in spiral and just the gameplay shields and swords to unlock seem cool. also its mmo seems similar. alot of dungeon crawlers arent really mmo like how spiral was or like how rotmg is.
but yeah pretty much it looks like it plays similar. im probably going to download and buy it and report back later.
