Why do all these begginers start of with the ♥♥♥♥ armor given by the missions why dont they actually listen to what others recommend them to go for and at this point i just want to know why do you choose that ♥♥♥♥ over good ♥♥♥♥??

I don't blame people for using the free 2* gear


I do blame them for not doing the research and wasting orbs on garbage cobalt mail and defender just because the recipes are free.

know what else is garbage?
your face! the kat/chaos sets as they are GARBAGE but peeps like them even tho u could get those boosts they give on the cobalt set by simply running thru elite vana

Cobalt is actually garbage, it gives 0 bonus. Wolver line give swords bonus, the new guns armor http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Shade_Armor, anything but Cobalt is actually decent.

The Chaos Cloak/Hood are viewed as the superior armor because of how the game rewards glass cannons build. You spend less time fighting and you can't mitigate damage via other armor/helm line. The only thing that can make you more resistant is heart trinket. The Chaos gives max CTR on any maxed weapons (cause it gives CTR med each piece and lvl 10 items 5* = CTR med bonus), pop an ASI high on it, with the swiftstrike shield and you are in ASI max. Next up, you buy a trinket slot, craft a sword/gun damage med trinket and plop the other on your sprite and BAM: CTR Max, ASI Max, DMG Max on swords/guns with low cost

The Black Kat only gives MSI and it's negligible compared to Chaos cause with BK you have to get CTR and ASI on all your weapons. Whereas the Chaos only requires ASI (and ASI high are quite affordable compared to CTR + ASI)

I have 3k hours on SK while you probly have less than 100 hours and want to tell us how the state of the game is. When most of us been through changes from the game and had to adapt from it.

But back on topic: Cobalt is garbage. It's not even in my arsenal for a reason, it is just plain bad. If you don't run in Chaos/BK set then you are a noob /thread

1. Get gud. Also don't revive (or beg for revives) every time you die. That's the bigger reason people will kick you.
2. The exact same UV is better on literally any armor. Stop acting like paying extra to get a buff another armor has for free is worthwhile.

I don't die even if I get hit with chaos. The only thing that can kill you is fire when you have no heart trinket, no vitapod, no remedy and no pills. Which happens for a very limited amount of time.

Plus I am a seraphynx user, I spawn hearts on every arena or so so health isn't an issue

Sorry popa but i must say i was actually talking about the cobalt gear. I think everything but the gun are kinda usless and i am a swordsman in this game. So yh cobalt may look good if you try hard enought but it aint good to use it really is just a waist.
