Question to the whales: How much money did you spend on this game?
Just curious about the amount some people spend on this dying game that will one day shut down their servers and everything will be lost.

Who/what is "whales"? I've only purchased the DLC for OCH on Steam.

I did because it was my choice to support the developers.

like you wont one day be nothing but a pile of dust. instead of waiting for stuff to die, enjoy it while it lasts.
as for how much I spent, should be on average around five dollars a month since I started.

Literally EVERY game is "dying game".
Literally EVERY game "will one day shut down their servers and everything will be lost".

Twice a year I buy a set of boxes. I just want to thank the developers for the thousands of hours of fun. :skheart: That's fair enough, isn't it?

The player-base that are involved in MT's, new vocab term for me.

In the case of SK, the percent may be really high, consider how the game is designed.

There's also the group of individuals that invested just to get a Mixmaster/Orbitgun.

more specifically, high spenders.
whales are the "big guys" who sometimes drop hundreds of dollars in a matter of days on a game.
dolphins are regular spenders who, while not spending nearly as much as whales, still buy regularly.
and I think one more term is minnows for those who do not spend.

it is a reductive list of terms mostly used by the people behind ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile games.
funnily enough, SK actually limits whales from "whaling out" too much with the whole spending limit.

probably around 400 bucks or less. but yea, there really is no reason why i should give this dying game more money, cause when i play, it still lags alot, either due to excessive particle effects, or old servers, but i'm pretty sure it's because of the millions of patches this game has received.

Finally an answer that I can work with.
What was the best thing that you got from these boxes?

iron slug reskin for sure, other vanities are great and all, but weapon vanities are more aesthetically pleasing.

That one sure looks good.
Spending real money in game always bothers me a bit, especially when you can buy through the steam store itself(and have that transaction show up on Steam's account history). I bought OCH. If they release another DLC I'd get that too. I would never sink money into cosmetic sets or "proof of being rich" gear.

i only give money so the franchise i'm playing won't die from lack of sales. but there really aren't any redeeming qualities in SK as of right now.
keep in mind that most online games have to pay for server maintenance.

I've spent a tolal of around $10,000 thru all these years. It's not that much of money, if you think about it. Don't call me a whale.
