you can roll single UVs once on 5* items you intend to use that do not have a UV yet, but only once. if you want a specific UV, buy a 2*/3* item with that UV.
yes, UV rolling is more or less gambling. if you arent able to accept losing, dont gamble.
Going as far as spending real money without keeping that in mind is your damning mistake.
Nothing has to be changed, because there's no problem at all.
I've done countless UV rolls, back when i played the game and earned my CR, which was a tedious process but in the end, it got me some near perfect gear.
UV rolling is simply gambling with odds, and if you lost money in the process, there's really no need to complain.
The better option is to just buy UV'd gear...
without things like this that take both lots of money and can be more or less spent on forever, crowns would over time lose more and more value, since people will keep making crowns out of nowhere by farming.
where else does cr disappear from circulation? AH fees are barely worth mentioning, recipe costs and crafting fees are once only, guild hall upkeep is tiny. that leaves featured auctions (since they arent made by players) and guild hall furnishings, both of which are also fairly limited.
actually I have spent in that ballpark. sounds crazy, sure, but not so much if you consider I played since just over 8 years. it all evens out to less than most MMO subscriptions.
blah blah gambling is bad, learn to paragraph.
UVs do not really matter. you can boost your weapon stats pretty high with just chaos and swiftstrike. not getting hit is doable in most situations.
SK is a free to play game. the developers have to make money somehow. sure, in a perfect world there wouldnt be any microtransactions and homelessness wouldnt exist and every person on the planet has access to free food and water but no, the communist utopia doesnt exist and may never come to be. you gotta live in an imperfect world with imperfect people and play imperfect games.
Other than the fact that you're ranting about your loss from 'gambling', it's really hard to read the massive eye-bleed of text walls that you posted.
I managed to see this part, though.
The truth is, no one is being ripped off, because players know that they aren't going to get perfect UV's on a regular basis.
I've played SK for the longest while now, and i haven't put a single cent into it.
I've made a ton of memories with that game, and i've accumulated a crap TON of expensive in-game items without spending a single cent.
The two important things that you're missing are (a) time is an important factor and (b) SK is a free-to-play game and it's going to be grindy.
I used to put a lot time into it, because otherwise, i would not have had enough CR to purchase stuff that i now don't care about.
SK developers or those that maintain its servers earn income by those same microtransactions in game.
At the end of the day, you contributed to the developers.
Seriously, don't spend money if there's a better alternative to a system that is sort of like gambling.
congratulations, you missed the point.
which was, for your information, that people need money. people like those that are keeping SK running. people like devs, support, or just the people that keep the servers from falling apart. and that isnt even all.
all of those people not only want but NEED money. so they need to design this FREE game so people will in some way want to spend money.
what do you call it when all resources are shared equally?
congratulations.
now, could you adress the whole crown sink thing instead of focusing one something mostly meaningless?
That's coming from a guy that said...
Hypocrisy at its finest, lads!
At the end of day, you can be anything you want online, but being kind is one thing that's always over-looked.
