Chilling Duelist appeals to me then, because I'm a big fan of the Antigua line. If each shot has a chance of freezing, that sounds like it'd be pretty damn useful in PvP given the sheer volume of gunfire you could put out with it. I could see myself building around that. And it sounds like Tri-Guard Armor is the superior pick at the 1* level (unless Padded Armor is worth considering for a Gun build).
The choice then would be the helmet. Do I stick with Tri-Guard, do I go for Fractured Mask of Seerus, or do I go for Cyclops Cap?
but if you are looking for good T1 PvP items, do not neglect the ASI high zapper, ASI high hatchet, prototype rocket hammer and fencing jacket.
Is Padded Armor worth considering over Tri-Guard?
So I could go:
Slot 1: Chilling Duelist
Slot 2: Zapper
Perfect Mask of Seerus or Cyclops Helmet
Padded Armor
Circuit Breaker Shield
This would do well in T1?
and I guess it would work. I prefer seerus and tri or cyclops and padded to seerus and padded, but all the combos work.
Why not get one? Even if it's only a tiny advantage over a Proto Shield, it's still an advantage.
Yeah, I keep confusing the two because Perfect Mask is what I run with my Gunslinger loadout.
It's all cheap stuff anyway. I guess I can run both sets. I just don't know if I'm willing to lay down $20 for the Deluxe Pack when none of the goodies it comes with are particularly appetizing. Or if I'm willing to roll 20 different Zappers until I get one with ASI High.
then just buy the items from someone, they do arrive unbound after all.
you get one with ASI high from missions, just like the hatchet and the CTR med bombs.
you dont use shields. you use special "shield" modules instead that give you special functions.
So at T2 and T3, what point is there to use any shield other than Swiftstrike or BTS?
Hmm...haven't played it in a while so I guess I forgot. Good to know.
Does the mission-rewarded Zapper automatically come with ASI High? I sold it immediately once I got it, so I don't remember.
