and yes, I do have my +5 curse set now.
Then again, if you're one of those people that feels honor-bound to stick to ONE armor set and one armor set only in your entire playtime...well, unless you have proficient Dark Souls-like skills, if we ever go through the Graveyard together, nice knowing you. (I don't have much room to talk, but only because I don't really have the fire crystals at the time to upgrade my Skelly set to a respectable level, and I'm working on trying to upgrade my Wolver set to Dusker).
Honestly, if you ask me, the only reason you should bother to craft the same piece of equipment multiple times is if it has multiple potential upgrades you want to take advantage of (ex. Brandish with its raw/ele/shadow upgrades, and Wolver with its Dusker/Padded Hunting upgrades). You can go for a UV, but the chance of getting the exact UV you're looking for through crafting isn't very high, and it's honestly better to ask the gremlim to add UVs instead (as long as you have the crowns for it).
I personally have played FSC with no shadow resistance many times and it's been fine. Fire resistance is just as important which you will have.
