Probably a dumb question... I finished FC5 a while back. Started a new FC5 game to replay it. Now I'm thinking of getting New Dawn. Do I need to finish the 2nd FC5 game I started before going onto New Dawn?

ok so i have been playing this game the last few days without issue until this morning. as of last night i had just rescued Jerome and now anytime i approach or fast travel to properity, i CTD... i dunno why this is happening and i cant find any other info on it but has anyone encountered this issue?...
