Indeed. As far as I know it is literally just "Press the grab button for less than three seconds at a time when moving boxes", there shouldn't be anything about singleplayer or multiplayer that affects that?
I kept scratching my head not knowing when or why I failed in single player, thinking that the "3 second" counts every single box held duration cumulatively and that's why I fail, when this thread implies dropping resets it. It turns out that my d*mb*ss just kept holding fragile boxes all the way to the truck and that's how I keep failing.
so yeah I have now confirmed dropping does indeed reset the 3 second timer.
