I am stuck at the end of the second area. There are two open doors on either side of a tree with a coin high above. I tried messing with the doors but I am stuck. clue?

Great game so far, but i'm a little stuck because uncollected items never re-spawn, such as coins or in my case, the lantern. Seems like the only way is to delete the save and restart, which is really disheartening... Any chance for a fix? Thanks!
