So i have dead Island 2 via Epic games, is this the reason why it not works?

What happens? Did you set the game to borderless or windowed mode? Exclusive Fullscreen isn't supported.

Is Exclusive fullscreen not supported in any game?

Only borderless or windowed mode, it's mentioned in the first two sentences of the manual ;)

Oh maybe that explains the issue. I guess space marine 2 is already borderless and doesn't have exclusive. My fault!

Interestingly, it's one of the games I've used the most with this program. By any chance, have you installed the new version of Windows, 24H2?

Microsoft keeps ruining things. I want to switch to Linux eventually, perhaps when SteamOS is finally available on PC. I hope the LS dev considers making a Linux version of LS because Windows is so volatile and keeps having problems. I know the Dev basically said he won't but if Windows keeps making things difficult, it might be worth reconsidering.
