LSFG 2.1 x2 or x3 kinda choppy in ARK survival evolved

Playing ARK, survival evolved.

LSFG 2.1 x2 is pretty choppy and x3 seems better

with x3 i get 170/150 fps in top left corner with the FPS counter from the app, but honestly it does not feel as smooth as the native rendering at around 90FPS.

Using an Acer Predator Helios 16 with a 240hz IPS with Gsync and an i9 13900H i believe and 4080 that peaks at 145-175watts. 16gb ram and 1tb ssd.

Probably a combination of my settings and setup causes the choppiness.

Can you lower your refresh rate? Try 144hz for example, set a 72 framecap for x2 framegen or 48 for x3, cap it with RTSS. If you still notice some choppiness after that, try out the RTSS settings that Spook mentioned here, especially the parts about "front edge sync" and the exact refresh rate:

WOW that worked amazingly well. Thank you. capped at 72 for 2x with RTSS makes it super smooth. Almost like native.
