Online dead?

is the online in this game dead? coz i want to buy this game and vs other players but if its dead i don't want to spend $80 on it :(

This game is very bland, DON'T spend $80 on it, wait for a sale (but it's your money, so do as you want). If you play online, the city will be a lobby where you will see other avatars running around. I always see other people playing, but I've never tried to vs them.

The multiplayer isn't highly rated. And they are closing it down in 6 moths, so its not like you'd be able to play it for long anyway:

I just bought the game in this winter sale, despite thousands of loading screens, I found it fun and played for more than 9 hours uninterrupted, I was planning to keep playing tomorrow to unlock more characters and abilities, then start playing online duels, I even saw it exists ranked mode... and now i see this news, h0ly sh1t i got sad
