The recommended spec hasn't been announced yet, but Durante said he is aiming for the game to be playable on GPD Win2 on 720p 30fps. So I think your spec is good enough to run 1080p at around 30-60fps ish.

there are requirements at the store page already

I also have doubts about the requirements but if Durante is working on this than I trust that man, he's awesome.

If you could run Cold Steel 2 you can run this, can't imagine it's much different.

CS1 and CS2 were developed for the Vita.

CS3 and 4 were developed for the PS4. Even CS3 stuttered at times during the final dungeon.

You will probably need higher system requirements to get it to run decently, but nothing insane.

Yeah, but I imagine they used the same Vita Engine and graphics, then just released the game on PS4. You can release a 16-bit game on PS4. Falcom never pushed the limits of a console or graphics.

I just noticed both the minimum and recommended specs are the same as Ys VIII, except for RAM (minimum 8GB and recommended 16GB). Are those specs placeholders? My main doubt is the GPU, it currently lists a R7 370 as recommended GPU, but the store page for CS1/2 has a GTX 770/R9 280X for the GPU, with the notes "1920x1080 / 60 FPS with high settings". The 370 is significantly weaker than those two, I'm not sure what's up with that.

Yeah, true but CS3 still looks pretty much the same as CS1/CS2 on PC. I'm guessing they are using the same engine from the vita with a some touches.

I'm under the specs for Atelier Ryza but I can steel run it anyway with 30-45 fps. I think it's all about the porting quality. The minimum requirements for Cold Steel III are lower than Atelier Ryza's ones so... Hopefully I'll be all right even with my very poor Mx 130

Still using my old timer that played both CS I and II back in 2018.

Started out a bit rocky, freezing at beginning of the prologue from just trying out the camera and causing local APM display driver crashes, toned down the graphics to second lowest while still setting to 60 FPS. Both games ran clean as a whistle.

Any settings modifications I need for this and possibly IV? I replaced my graphics card to a new one last year due to it being repaired too many times. Same model for the sake of compatibility though. But APM display driver crashes now have a 50% chance of causing BSOD from timer blowout. Blame Blizzard's desktop app and Hearthstone or that.

CS3 looks significantly better on PS4 than CS 1 or 2 did.

That said, a 1050 TI is far more powerful than the listed requirement, so OP should be fine.

They don't look the same to me. Ys 8 recomends a Fury X.

Looks like this games recommended are similar to Ys 8's required, not recommended.

The CPU concerns me more than the GPU, as its asks for a octa-core..

Still, the FX8320 is a 9 year old CPU with terrible IPC, so those "8 cores" it has are really weak. Any modern 4/6 core Ryzen, i3, i5 should have better gaming performance than those FX chips. And I somehow doubt CS3 will really need 8 cores to run, so you should be fine.

haha yes.. an AMD FX octa-core.. That's nothing.. Not even kidding, an i3 2gen is better. Not to mention that AMD got a lawsuit because of the FX series, turns out that it never had 8 cores.. It was just 4 cores..
