Scanning during Panzer Soldat training
So I have my very first Panzer Soldat training in chapter 2 where I have ti fight against Valimer. Do I have to attack all the different parts with question marks to get a full scan on him or can I just beat him to get the full scan?

Scanning does not matter for robot battles or missable(rean date) fights.
Every other monster, boss, and optional/quest fight needs to be scanned.

Oh really? I wasnt sure because on Neoseeker it gives me that note: The fights that occur in Panzer Soldat Training also counts towards the enemy notebook list. You must not skip any of these fights if you want to ger the Monsterology 101 trophy.
That sounds to me like you also need them in your notebook. Im a bit confused now...
The Soldat/Divine Knight fights do count for the enemy notebook, but you don't need to scan anything specifically in the fight. There's no way to use battle scopes or something like that anyway, but you also don't have to attack every part of them or jump through any other hoops; simply doing the fight is enough to get their complete entry in the notebook.

Some Soldat/Divine Knight fights are optional, and thus could be skipped, but if you want to complete the enemy notebook (for the achievement or just because you have Pokemon Syndrome :steammocking: ), you (obviously) should not skip these fights. That's what the guide is referring to.

Man, I’m glad I found this post. I’ve been super meticulous about scanning every enemy but just realized I hadn’t scanned any Soldats. Thanks for clearing this up!
