Bosses self-healing
This has to be the most godawful mechanic in this game by far, because nothing is more infuriating than seeing your hard work being undone after the boss decides to not only heal itself constantly, but gain several buffs and frequent actions per turn to kill you with a single attack. It's like the Magic Knights in CS2, but it's every boss fight in this game.

That optional boss in the Geofront F was the worst example, since not only it healed itself THREE TIMES, but it recovered its full health and gained constant turns to kill my party until it had enough. It's infuriating, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I hope to god it doesn't come back in CS4 and Reverie.

your talking about the Enhance ability they use when health drops to like lets say 30% then they 60% like really

yeah that was a bit annoying but push come to shove The Spirit Of Thors will push back the dark clouds Looming over our great nation.

just make use of speed buffs and slow debuffs.

Those enemies can only do that 3 times, so it's more like their HP bar is just way bigger than it looks which admittedly is pointless and irritating but not a deal breaker. I'm about halfway through the game now and this only becomes truly maddening later when (as you saw in the opening) you face the Stahlritter. One of their members has an infinitely spammable self heal which also provides one Immunity on top of her having generally high defence anf HP anyway. She's basically invincible unless your entire squad focuses on her, breaks her then stunlocks her for ages. She's not even that dangerous she just takes ages to take down. Maybe on Normal mode she's not so bad but on Hard she's a timesink.

Agreed. I shamelessly turn it down to easy for the select few fights where the healing feels ridiculous.

Some tweeks really help: there is quartz that does +50% damage on first craft attack, also several items that add +100 to power. Also there is quartz that adds something like +300% to break damage.
So if you attack with Rean first and somebody else second, you probably will stun the boss and break him. Then you should attack with the character that has +300% break damage.
I have almost all boss fights done in 4 simultaneous S-craft attacks in less than a minute.

The main strategy is don't allow the boss to enrage in the first place. Stack your party with buffs and time your break so it triggers just before they enrage. At that point go all in. Launch your biggest attacks and abuse delay crafts to keep the boss staggered. On the very last action before the boss restores, interrupt with all your S-crafts.

Damage quartz are very handy for punishing the break window. Minotauros delay normally makes it very hard to act during a break, so use movement or items to keep the character on short cooldown. You can hit with a craft and immediately s-craft for 2 huge hits.

For maximum break time, try to lure the boss into a counter attack. That way their action is spent and they break at the same time. It's far more important in CS4 than CS3 however. Don't use your big attacks to cause the break, because the character will be spent and can't take advantage.
