And which Trails? Sky, Steel or Zero/Azure?
So unlike 1 and 2 its about equal here ? :) English had alot more in 1 and 2 thats why im asking
1 & 2 had more in English because they had funds to spend when they failed to obtain the Japanese audio initially. So they used them to dub more lines. Then like 15 months after release they were finally able to get the Japanese audio and add it to the game.
However the added English audio in 1 & 2 only bring those games up to roughly the same amount of voiced lines in 3 anyways. I posted the exact numbers in another thread somewhere but I don't want to try to go dig through the forum to find it.
Wait so 1 and 2 have also equal japanese lines to 3 now ? : )
And we have a full time trolling problem in these boards, so anyone posting thoughtless essays contradicting everything that's been said should be ignored.
In contrast, NISA, who published Cold Steel 3, paid for zero extra voice lines in English. Therefore, Cold Steel 3 has the same amount of English lines as Japanese lines (as far as I know), as well as other additional problems such as "silent Rean" coming back (meaning scenes in which the other characters talk with their voices yet Rean does not).
15 months later XSEED finally managed to obtain the rights to include the Japanese audio. Something NISA managed to obtain and include on day one.
The original PS3 and Vita versions of CS1/2 didn't have any extra lines at all, they had the exact same amount as the japanese version.
The extra lines were only added in the PC release and only after they had to ask Falcom themselves to be able to do it because it would most likely be a breach of contract to do so actually (they'd probably break some line of the contract saying they can't release a modified version of the game or something, and while there are exceptions to rules in contracts like this, none of them would allow adding more lines most likely)
