I don't recall Nihon Falcom ever creating a game that lets you create a character. I don't see why there would be a need to do it, especially with a series 3 (8 if you wanna count Liberal and Crossbell Arc games) games in.

These games are very story centric and the main characters have a clear path and certain relationships and personality traits, it isn't that kind of JRPG. If you want customization you can change the outfits and hair color of pretty much all the playable characters.

And that's why I don't play jrpg some are fun but they take out freedom of play...witch makes it boring because it means my choices don't matter at all like should be easy to make a jrpg choice based but none do and it's sad and making my own person makes me more immersed then trying to understand why the mc acts a way that I may hate and there for hate the game

In the Trails series especially, it hinges on a bunch of games that are connected or reference between each other. The freedom of choice wouldn't work. Even just the introduction of selectable love interests has caused issues with the writing and progression of the games. Although I do believe more JRPGs could offer more choice though tend not to due to budgetary reasons.
Trails is story- and character-centered, some people are self-centered. If it's not about them, they can't connect and they also seem to completely lack the ability to empathise with other characters. This is somehow so... limited, restricted. I always wonder how these people read a book. Do they always cut out all the passages about the main character and paste in stuff about themselves?
