In this, doesn't seem to matter what fish I get, the instant the fish gets angry I have 0% chance of catching it. It gets pissed off every 1-2 seconds and dive bombs to the danger zone the moment it gets annoyed once.
It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the series so far by a long shot.
I found a guide that was very helpful on YouTube. Now, I think once you get the hang of it fishing can be a very lucrative past time. I'm making great progress and am farming huge amounts of septum early in Ch 1--thanks to fishing!
These side games like fishing, vantage masters can be fun and a nice distraction, except the casino in cs4 that place started to become addictive due to the poker table.
i do think cs2 is my fav in the series......
Just out of curiosity, are you button mashing or do you hold the key down? I returned to the game after a few months of not playing and had forgotten that the fishing system was different then in 1 and 2. So i kept button mashing the x button and was like "how is it possible that I can't get any fish at all at the start of the game?" then I hold down the proper button and it was easy as heck.
So just curious if maybe you did the same thing as me.
Another tip, when the fish is about fleeing, just let it fall back to halfway your tension bar and tap the button a few times to reel again, it will stop the fish from going to far back and half a tension bar still get's you to reel in the fish with great distance each time before you have to let go again before the line will snap.
I haven't bought any of the rod upgrades and had no problems fishing. Most fish just require you to release the line slightly preemptively just before they go into their anger state. This gives the line time to recover and you can reel in also a bit preemptively immediately as the anger state is gone. Figuring out the timings for each fish isn't rocket science and can be just done live after a couple attempts
See, back when I played this game, that would've been impossible.
Even the easiest fish right at he start, without the upgrades, the around .5 seconds after letting go the fish was gone. It didn't give you any time to do it, your line would be red almost the second it happened and then right after it was gone and escaped.
This might've been updated mind.
