Recommendation before CS3!
Not obligatory but, if you havent played Sky and Crossbell Arc, I would recommend watching LadyVirgilia Summary of Sky and Crossbell on youtube! Since for Cs3 and upcoming Cs4, it is kinda super important to have played or seen Sky and Crossbell for their characters and lore!
Playing Sky and Crossbell can would take lots of hours and not everyone has the time...therefore my suggestion of the summary! Thats that! Hype to do Cs3 again!

Well - I already played a part of Trails from Zero, but putted it on hold for the upcoming Geofront translation (the 14th of this month - three days from now). I played enough to recognize the characters in the Cold Steel 3 demo.

Personally I going to buy Cold Steel 3 at release time (probably on GOG and not on Steam), but I will first play the Crossbell arc starting on the Geofront translation release date. I already played the three Trails In The Sky games and Cold Steel 1+2, so I decided to play the Crossbell arc before playing Cold Steel 3.

I only played the CS3 demo to check if the game runs on my system, and I am happy to say it runs even smoother than CS 1+2.

Anyway - I want to live through the story, so I did not want to do a simple recap video. Because of that it will take a while before I start playing CS3, but I am sure it will be time well spend..

Aye! I will also get the Geofront Translation to replay Crossbell arc!
But not everyone will do that or wanna play Sky cuz of graphics(dumb reasons but meh)

Yeah. Love the Geofront guys and all, but talk about horrible timing. I want to replay Zero no Kiseki (with their translation) and I never did play much of Ao. So, I want to get those played before CS3, but I can't get all of that done in just a little over a week.

So I'm probably gonna put CS3 on hold for a couple of weeks. Thankfully all I have to do is avoid this community forum basically. None of my close friends actually play the series, so no one gonna try to spoil me every five seconds. I mean, I have read an entire plot analysis of the series, but still plenty of stuff to spoil if I'm not careful. >.<

Yeah, do that.
While I never watch summary vids or anything similiar to that so I can't comment on how thorough they are, I believe that it won't do justice than to actually play the game by yourself.

both zero and ao would easily be 100+ hrs experience if you do most of the side quests, so i'd say go for AO available fan TL, as soon as you beat Zero. oh yeah, don't forget voice acting from Evolution versions do exist for both Zero and Ao, unless you don't like japanese VA, they will def make the game more enjoyable and immersive

that said, it will def take weeks to beat zero and ao but you already know how awesome things gonna be when you have the prior knowledge and to fully enjoy CSIII at its finest

I've been playing the games in release order (played through Sky FC/SC/3rd throughout these last couple months for the first time), and have waited for the Geofront release of Zero. Already purchased my copy of Zero no Kiseki from DLSite so I am all set!! Going to just play what's available for Ao however, since that might take them another few years to work on... Really looking forward to the Crossbell Duology!!

the Ao fan translations better than the current pre-geofront Zero one, I'm currently playing through it, and have had no issues with it besides occasional grammar issues (less than Zero had still though) Just make sure you have the most recent one, as the version I initially started using was an old one and was awful 8D

I really hope the PS4 updates get localized and ported to PC, the crossbell games are great and deserve to get localized and make the full kiseki saga officially available.

Yeah I believe I have the latest patch (the Flame Edit) so I think it'll be alright. I'm really excited for the Geofront release tomorrow :D

Yeah - I already have seen some snippets from KillScottKill on YouTube, and it looks very good. Of course I made sure I did not see anything beyond what I had played already, but I can clearly see the improvements they have made. Impressive work, that's for sure.
So if I go to Youtube and search for LadyVirgilia, I should eventually find those summaries? How long would a summary take to watch? These games are really long.

For Sky its around 3-5 hours for 1 game and Crossbell arc is around 6h each of recap (that is approximately, i dont remember the time for all)
