Numgeon does not appear in my Game Collector pop-up
Today I used the Game Collector feature on my Steam page but somehow I am unable to select Numgeon in the pop-up when editing the titles that appear.....

Is it just me?

Well to the best of my ability in Google I am unable to find the exact criteria of what features are restricted in Steam to new games and what are the criteria for full access to features, but the Game Collector pop-up must be one of them.

So Steam will display Numgeon on my page every time I play it, including achievements, total play time, but not let me put it in my Game Collector pop-up box.

If anybody has a link to the official Steam explanation of the rules in this new Steamverse then please share....

Danke

If you look at the store page, you'll notice that the game is marked as "Profile Features Limited". This means that the game/developer has not been "automatically vetted" by Steam and certain features are locked. These features include (but may not be limited to):
  • Trading Cards
  • Achievement totals over 100
  • Achievements showing in showcases
  • Achievements counting toward personal totals
  • Games showing in showcases

The reason for this relatively new restriction is that asset flip grinders have been abusing various Steam features to generate profit from their non-games, and these restrictions lock out the target features until the game/developer has been proven legitimate. As for how they unlock, Valve has been reasonably quiet; sales are the only confirmed source of credibility, though there are definitely more factors.

Since I can't find the original announcement post, this Steamworks documentation should have all the information you're looking for: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/profile

@Master Azure Fang

Thank you for that very informative post, you speak with great experience.

Steam is its own 'Federal Reserve' and controls the value of gems and all other derivatives....
Unfortunately they appear to have confused the 'Dev domain layer' with the'User domain layer' and the 'Steam Federal Reserve' layer.... or at least are they are now trying to untangle that beast.

Like some massive clicker game and 'bitcoin' phooccup all rolled into one; we watch in absolute awe, sometimes in envy and other times horror....

So say we all :hat1:
