FRAME DROPS AND STUTTERING
Guys, I tried to set every resolution (low, mid and high) but I have stuttering and my frames drops every time, I can't play in this way!
Anyone can help me? Do you have this problem or is it only for me?

what platform are you playing on?

Most people don't have problems; about one in ten or twenty do.

Disable ray-tracing. Disable HAGS. Try running at 60 fps on a 60 Hz display rather than using some high-refresh / GSync display.

Most people have the problems and have gave up. This happens on the latest patch, there are no fix available, if there is, please pin it on the discussion.

Will be not others updates to fix that?

I'm sorry, but your PC is problematic in all ways possible for a modern visually driven AAA game. You are having issues with 8 threads CPU, you are running into issues with 8gb VRAM for this game, and you will get less with 16gb RAM for this title. Also, make sure you use ssd for it, or it will only go downhill from there.

That said - If you are on 1440p, try native res, everything on high or ultra, texture quality high. On 4k, dlss quality. On 1080 try native, ultra and taa high (might still need to lower textures, idk). This game chokes most CPUs under top 10, so your best bet to have more stable performance is to get GPU bound into 40-50fps. The more you let GPU chill, the worse the stutter. FPS cap might help with that, although doesn't work great for me.

Aside from ingame settings, make sure to check out Ultra Plus Better Lighting and Performance (not a Reshade) from Nexus Mods website. There are also other mods, thankfully this is an Unreal Engine 4 title, and there are a lot of crafty people out there that can tweak it to somewhat better results.

Good luck!

I tried every possible way, but the situation did not improve
I've played many other games that are much heavier than this one and I've never had any kind of problem (Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Stranding etc.)
It's the only game that gives me problems. I noticed that in other discussions the problem persists for many other players too, so yes, it is the game that is still having problems.
I hope they fix it sooner or later, because at the moment it's horrible for me (I'm talking about optimization). I'm very disappointed.

I noticed sudden stutters frequently even if the framerate is at 130 fps. I play on a Ryzen 5600 and a RX 6650 XT with 32 GB RAM on Windows 10 ( Steam games as well as Win is installed on 1TB Nvme 2-ssd). Ultra high makes no difference to high regarding the stuttering.

Exactly.
I also tried playing with the resolution all LOW, but I still had frame drops and stuttering

I guess it doesn't dependent on the quality settings in the game. It's something else. I just made a clean installation of windows 10 and the games again. Maybe it gets better than, but i doubt it. You could open google or youtube and search for Hogwarts Legacy pc stuttering fixes, there are many solutions.

You didn't mention if you were playing this on a Hard Disk drive or a Solid State drive. I would wager the later.

A mod on Nexus, Ascendio II, was helpful in the end, except a few low res textures here and there most of the stutters are gone.

I've tried a long list of solutions that alleviated the stuttering somewhat, but it's still very much there and when it happens, which is usually when opening doors or traversing areas with lots of buildings/rooms like Hogsmeade, it happens.

edit: specs
R5 3600x
RTX 3080
16gb of DDR4 3200mhz
M.2 NVME

as for OP, check nexus mods. there are some stutter fixes there. Ascendio is one but it comes at the cost of slowing down texture streaming.

In fact I have a lot of problems when I'm inside the castle or in Hogsmeade
I'm relieved that I'm not the only one having problems. I hope that they will update the game.
