Can I Abandon a Quest? Stuck on Man Behind The Moons

It says I have 12/13 of the statues but I collected all of them - have triple checked all locations and they are all gone. On the Quests menu all I can do is "Untrack" by right clicking but that doesn't abandon the quest. I don't know what else to do at this point other than try to abandon it.

You didn't collect them all. There are more moons than you need to complete the quest. They only show up on revelio at night and often won't even show up until you enter a house. Open the map and zoom out. It shows in which location your missing demiguise statues are.

I did find them all - I had 13 locations - retrieved each one. I've gone back to each spot to make sure multiple times.

The quest does not update until you hand them in. It will forever say 12/13 until you actually talk to Mr. Moon.

It’s not a counter of how many you have, it’s a counter of how many you turned in.

I have gone to him and turned them in. There are no more to collect.

There are WAY more than 13 in the game. The quest counter only counts how many you have turned in. If it says 12/13, that means you only turned in 12.

There are a lot more than 13 moons you can collect, like the first reply said. If you're only checking 13 spots, you're ignoring a lot of moons you can get with the unlock level 1 spell. Just go grab one from somewhere you haven't checked and turn that one in. Make sure you're using the command from the map to wait until night before even checking.

There are 11 in the surrounding villages, 9 in Hogsmeade and 10 in Hogwarts. So 30 in total and you only need 22 to finish the quest. You have to hand in the first 9 and get the new unlocking spell, it is required to get the rest of the statues. Maybe you just have to hand in the ones you collected to update the quest counter.

Correct. They have many more in the game you can collect, but once you hand in a certain amount, they quest will not require them all...unless you want to collect them all..

Yes I am very aware of that. I was referring to OP regarding his issue.

After I turned in my last one in (#13) he told me that there are more out their and If I find them i can keep them. I have been busy looking for landing pads and and other things and found 2 more. So keep looking.

i got aholamora 3=20 demiguises plus 9(in inventory now)=29,and still got the achievement. figure that one out.
