there's no drivers for Hogwarts Legacy sadly still...a thing that i never saw before

Black screen, do not update

This has been happening with alot of games. Stay on older versions of the driver until someone reports the issues with nvidia newest driver. I suggest contacting them and emailing them about the current version being very buggy with lots of games too.

There is also a bug reporting link in the nvidia experience if you use it.

My game started preparing shaders after black screen for a couple mins. RTX DLSS helps stay above 90fps but not noticing much of a difference with new drivers. Maybe UI smoothness.

Black screen here after the update

3080ti evga ftw3 getting the black screen as well now after installing patch where i can't get to the main menu after updating to this latest patch. I hear music playing but screen stays black and it never apparently completes loading the shaders. Doing Nailes suggestion of deleting the 4 files found in the hidden folder fixes it.

I'm going to copy past the solution for the black screens after new drivers are installed, I offered elsewhere and seems to work for myself and others, so give that a try;

Go to your C:\programdata\hogwarts legacy folder, Its a hidden folder so make it visible in the 'view' tab and remove the four files in that folder. The game will make new ones as you start.

As stated above, there is no HL specific driver, so you have to help a bit.

screen was black for about 30 40 seconds for me then it played, played slightly better

Run the game as an Administrator, worked for me, also I re-downloaded the drivers.

This happened to me today. I said F it, I'm going to sit here and re-start for hours because I'm a stubborn idiot. After the 6th re-start, it worked and has been working ever since. FYI.

I just updated as well. Looks really good to me. I am not getting stuttering in Hogsmeade (at night).

Laptop 3060 works fine after driver update, no crash so far.
