Thank you for the information. I just got my O.W.A.L.S as a Hufflepuff and was thinking of a few more play thues just to see what the other houses look like but not to get my O.W.A.L.S because the play true are almost the same. I think I will explore Slytyerin's and Ravenclaw and do a few side quest that I liked but that will be it.
Where as the others aren't really described so they have more freedom to make them look cool.
TBH even though i went with Ravenclaw, i almost made a Grif just to see the common room we all know.
Yeah, from what I can gather, Gryffindors are the book author's favorites or something so they tend to be the most showy.
I feel like from a game design perspective that this isn't a very sound argument. The other rooms are very interesting for the player to look at and explore where the Gryffindor common room isn't to the same extent. It's pretty, sure, but overall less attention-grabbing than the others and I feel less compelled to bother with anything in said room than with the common rooms on my other characters.
Slytherin and Hufflepuff are tied for first (really just depends on the aesthetic you want, Spooky Castle or Comfy Cozy)
Gryffindor isn't ugly but its not amazing either.
I don't really think any of them are really outright ugly. I just found that Gryff. was less interesting.
underwater windows, sea creature tapestries, and absolutely amazing music
When I was prepping for my first playthrough (I have not seen the Gryffindor common room, yet, having only played a Ravenclaw run, so far), I found a site that described differences between the four houses, including the common rooms. Gryffindor's "special" feature (all the rooms are supposed to have one; Ravenclaw has special roof access for brooms, Slytherin has the ability to see both the basilisk and the great squid at times, and Hufflepuff has... something to do with the kitchens, IIRC) is that it is supposed to have a bunch of secret rooms hidden around the place. I haven't seen anyone talk about this feature, anywhere else, however. Can anyone confirm this?
As a Hufflepuff I have found a way into a kitchen once and have not been able to find it again. That was outside of the entrance to the common room and bedrooms. I have yet to find any secret rooms inside but I was not looking for any I will now thanks for the tip.
Are these the same as the stairs you can't go up in the Slytherin common room or is that different?
Bet you know nothing about interior design if you say Ravenclaw’s the ugliest. Ravenclaw's common room is by far has the most balanced interior composition, even acknowledged by professional designers as fascinating room-experience with well-chosen colors. It's so bright in the morning and noon because Ravenclaw students love to read books, thus they need plenty of light. Wait til night fall and you'll find the room even more beautiful with stars constellation on the ceiling and warm ambiance.
