Will there be Hogwarts Legacy 2?

I can see them doing a continuation for the 6th year perhaps?

Given the financial and critical success of the game, i can see it being discussed at the very least.

To be fair the game is great but story and characters are a bit childish and lack nuance. My take is they want to follow the HP book type of path, growing the world darker and the scenario more intricate. At least I hope so.

Almost definitely, this game is a monster hit I would be shocked if they don't capitalize on it and push out a sequel by 2025

Maybe, but maybe not. This game here succeeded not just because it's HP, but mostly because it's very well made overall. And they now know that people have got their HP fill, so a new game would be less popular (unless), and this means they have to make an even better game to get back all the "burnt out" HL players, and as well attact new ones.

i agree bare in mind in the game we are playing as 16 year old also speaking to younger and older

Yes I would say so since this game sold so well especially in Europe and Japan.

Something with more dark and grim theme. More meaningful loot and playing a character starting from the bottom

There will be one but it won't be connected to this game story or setting wise. They'll probably choose 20th century going forward.

If they make a sequel I'd like to see a more fleshed out castle ecosystem, actual RPG mechanics with actual party members, and a stats sheet that affects gameplay on top of fleshing out the systems they've put in place already.

Edit: Actually it would be interesting if the sequel occurred with your MC as a teacher in Hogwarts a decade after the game ends.

Like the books and movies: It's magic! They can add as much as they want to this - perhaps a bit like Monster Hunter World. Then again so many want a connected experience - some form of co-op or multiplayer.

The 3 Arkham games from Rocksteady are not re-skins.
